All pre-1947 business street addresses have been adjusted by Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps because many street addresses in the city changed that year, but further research will be needed to determine if residential addresses have. The following records came from Polk’s and Escott’s City Directories for Springfield, Missouri (1880/1884-/1900/1920-1990) about every five years.
A group of Missouri State University (MSU) tourism students in the process of creating a geocaching plan, under the direction of Dr. Steven F.
